    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

    Image193.jpg

  • Our 2006 ended with a nice stroll from Jordan to Tsim Sha Tsui because of the road blockage.

    Image177.jpg
I felt like a vehicle driving along Nathan Road ha ha! Omg there were so many people! There was so way I could walk in my 4" pumps so I was in my crocs. I looked absolutely ridiculous and I got a few weird stares. I heard the following :
    Girl 1 : Look what she's wearing!
Girl 2 : And they are huge too!
Hey stupid! Please look at the rest of my outfit - Did it occur to you that I had to wear the crocs on purpose? *Grrr*

NOBU has just opened in HK! Went to their London restaurant several times when I was in London. Last night we had a side order of their dessert bento box hee hee! *slurp* It tasted just like the one in London!

    I heart HK!!!!!

    Image198.jpg
The first thing we did in 2007 was to walk all the way to Tsim Sha Tsui KCR, then to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR for a packed train back to Admiralty. When we got there we had to queue up for a taxi home. Surprisingly it only took us 40 minutes! Not bad hey? Can you see jkpiggy? He is the guy in the middle with a jacket on his arm!

  • HK Internet Crisis

An earthquake in Taiwan not only killed 2 victims, but also damaged 6 cables connecting HK to the rest of the world.

My ISP Netvigator is 80% dead, so is connection at work.

Can't update properly until this is sorted. It took me 5 minutes to load the editor page - imagine that!

I sincerely hope to see you asap!!!

Beaches in HK are really polluted. Look at all the rubbish lying on the sand! It was horrible!

    Image170.jpg
jkpiggy parked his car by the beach and fell asleep. Omg I was so bored!

  • MY OBSERVATIONS

Image080.jpgMy classmate. She used this red stars elastic band on her hair everyday and she dressed like she was 10 years old, but she looked about 25. Truly bizarre.

Image081.jpgIsn't it a little dangerous to risk your palm just to iron your shirt? No matter how well padded your hand may be, (for me anyway) the glove can slip easily. Can't you do it on the ironing board? Isn't collar the toughest and least creasable part of the shirt and hence require less ironing? I am pretty sure my maid uses this tiny pillow to do the job.

Image160Little kiddies singing Christmas carols at IFC on Monday. They were totally out of tune. Can you see the conductor in black clothes in the middle? The weirdest thing was that as me and Jen walked past the kids that were actually singing were the 3 groups that were in front. This means the conductor was waving her hands at those kids at the back who were not singing. Hm...

  • I AM FEELING OLD...

... PERHAPS I SHOULD GET RID OF MY D.O.B. ON THE LEFT HA HA!!!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Had stomach flu yesterday and felt really frail, kinda like an old lady!

Speaking of "lady", I had dinner (without food for me) with my ladies last night and they gave me this:

  • I had to go home for a bit yesterday afternoon....

    Image077
View from the bus-stop. I once walked down this steep road everyday to go to nursary back in 1982. We lived in the building around 50 steps up from the top left of this photo until November 1985. When I moved back in 2003 I felt like I had gone full circle ha ha! I will move up the street soon. My dream is to return to Conduit Road within the next 10 years.

    Image076
The new Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum was opened for public yesterday at the ancient Kom Tong Hall. I read somewhere that the legendary Bruce Lee once lived here for a bit too because his mother was related to the owner of Kom Tong Hall, or something! Here in HK the Govt enjoys tearing down older buildings which do not meet the 100 year "antique" line. But how can we have a 100y-o building when it gets torn down at 50?!

    Image078
I didn't want to return to work on foot, having just walked all the way back home, so I decided to go on a bus. Omg I didn't know that traffic is actually quite heavy in the afternoon!!
