There has been several freak accidents in HK lately.

On Sunday a drunken man was climbing up his bunk bed when he slipped and fell out of the window to his death. You do not have to understand Chinese to figure out what happened.

But this accident below really saddens me.

An Isadora Duncan-like death - KILLED BY A SCARF. Girl aged 6 was killed, just yards from school, when the door of the minibus which she had just got off caught her scarf and drove off with it. The second image shows her lying on the ground dying, with onlookers too scared too move her while awaiting arrival of paramedics.

When I do die, I hope I will be able to find out the cause of death before actually dying, and not like this.

The flu is gone but my cough is getting worse. My throat feels really dry and cough is chesty with lots of phlegm which cannot be coughed out. On the rare occasion that it did come out - I COUGHED OUT GRAY PHLEGM! I looked it up on Google and I think I have either lung cancer or chronic bronchitis. The latter is not a surprised to me because I had bronchitis for many years as a child. But chronic? I just didn't expect it to return.

This is precisely why I have been preaching to my younger friends that once you turned 25 all parts of your body suddenly deteriorates at the speed of light. Recently girlfriend AL said to me, "My tummy has lost the ability to stay flat even if I starve myself for several days." Sigh.

Anyway, I took medicine as prescribed by my doctor on Monday and it kept me awake all night and at 5am I thought there was no way I could go to school in the evening if I went to work, so I sent stupid Boss M an email telling her that I wanted a day off work.

I *think* I finally fell asleep at 6am. Not sure though, because my alarm clock went off at 6:45am for  to get up for work.

I took my last dose of the medicine at noon yesterday and also took some pills to help me sleep when I got home after school (10:30pm) and fell asleep at 3am. Now I am back at work and I am dead tired. I can't wait to go ZzzZzzZzz tonight...

A flu is going round the office and I am the latest victim.

We went to see 007 on Saturday and afterwards  said he would get me a gift within a sum he set. BUT I WAS TOO ILL TO GO SHOPPING!!! Damn it! By the way I loved this new 007! I think Daniel Craig is a much better actor than Pierce Brosnan, but the latter is more attractive. What I don't understand is that this film is supposed to be the prequel to all 007 films right? So why was the film set in present day? Or is 007 timeless?

I felt dizzy the entire weekend and did not sleep well. Both my mind and body were exhausted but I just could not sleep. I went to school for the first hour yesterday and just had to get home and rest.

 said to his dad about my illness, "It is so good to see her sitting down quietly! Normally she talks to much. I wish she could be ill like this everyday."

Have a really horrible school timetable this week : this evening, tomorrow evening, then Thursday through Tuesday! Argh!!!

Saw The Spice Girls : 10 Years of Girl Power last night. I was hoping for a program like Raw Spice but I was wrong. It was a discussion of whether 'Girl Power' enhances feminism and it was rather boring.  walked off after the first 15 minutes. I believe they sent out positive vibes to young girls (their main fan base), in the way that they should do whatever they want and it is ok to speak out, etc etc. But the main thing was - it was all part of the Spice Girls marketing right?

The program brought back so many memories ha ha! Sometime in 1996 my friend Eathar wanted to get their cd for her little brother (who was 8y-o at the time) but was too embarrassed to go buy it, and so she paid another girl to do the job! Ha ha! Little did I know that few years later the same happened to me :  wanted to buy Backstreet Boys (or was it Westlife?) cd and force me to walk up to the cashier! Ha ha!!

I'm sure it is a worker's dream to one day confront the boss and tell him that he is full of .

I did just that this morning. The time had come for my annual appraisal. I promised myself not to say anything except ok ok ok because there is serious communication problems between me and the bosses. We barely talk, and when we do, they never listened.

This morning when my boss M asked what I thought of work and I really could not restrain myself and I said, "What is the point of telling you what I think? I asked boss T for more work last year and you two did nothing to improve the situation!"

And I also said it at boss M's face that:

1. She gives clear instructions and slows down everyone's work.
2. She has too much spare time ("You spend half your time on the phone.") and hence loves to pick on small things.
3. She sends unnecessary reminder. My analogy was, "Like your mum calling you twice a day reminding you to clean your teeth."

Boss M ended the meeting with, "You are giving me a hard time."

My parents will probably tell me off big time if I told them what I did. But I thought, since I will leave this place in around 6 months anyway, why not bullock my boss for the right things - deemed right by normal people and not just myself?

Anyway, I have mixed feelings now. But what's done is done. Oh well~! I will not regret it.

School has started again. This time it is Company Law with Professor Furey. Last night was the 5th lecture for all but 1st for me because I missed the first 4 when I went to the Maldives. I was really quite confused. But when I looked around I also saw many ??? on people's faces, and the girl next to me did not write a single word on her notes. Maybe I am not so stupid afterall?!  

The first thing  bought in 2007 were PSP games. He got them for me so I won't bother him while he is focussing on his PS3 games! Ha ha!! I am currently playing Grand Theft Auto and I am stuck and am waiting for  to help me complete a mission so I can move on to the next one.

Saddam Hussein's life came to an abrupt and premature end on the last day of 2006.

I have mixed feelings about his execution.

On one hand I thought he deserved it because he killed thousand during his reign of terror. A life for a life. It is only fair.

One the other hand I wish they had kept him alive and tortured him instead. This is not about human rights. Dying is such an easy exit! I believe imprisonment is the ultimate and a more suitable punishment for Saddam. Better yet, if he was sent to a medieval slave camp or prison or dungeon or something, and got whipped all day as well as doing hard labour. Ha ha!
