SWEET 18
I began re-watching SWEET 18 on Sunday night.
SWEET 18 is about a couple who got together by arranged marriage and eventually fall in love, as they always do in the fantasy world.
Back at UCL an Indian girl in my class announced that she was getting married by arranged marriage. Others were quite curious...
Others : Do you actually know that guy?
Girl : Yes! We have met several times.
Other : So you don't have a choice at all?
Girl : I do! It's not like I must marry him. But I do fancy this guy.
You see, arranged marriage is not a bad idea at all. It totally eliminates spinsterhood for those who participates. And for sure parents would give their seal of approval on potential spouses. Freedom is not always a good thing. It just makes everything 1000 times more complicated don't you think? And if you let your parents choose your other half, then when
happens you can totally blame them!
I expanded my list of blogrings today!! Hee hee!

But the mere thought of sleeping with some girl I don't fancy sends chills down my spine!!!
when parents are involved sh*t doesnt quite happen very often. Not that i would let my parents pick a girl for me.
i can see that happening actually. while most chinese friends of mine frown upon getting a wife in china, i can see someone falling in love still.
~btw you and your BF are mad chinese, check out the newspapers beneathe your dinner plates lol
sounds interesting.. I haven't seen kdrama in ages.
