This is a painting of my late aunt Mamie who died in 1987. It once hang in her room at my Grandma's. And when Grandma died in 1990, my mum got the painting. It now hangs at home in Vancouver.
As usual, I kicked
out of bed at 6:30am for work, and I went back to sleep. This morning I had a nightmare. I was at my late aunt's house, somewhere I have not visited since 1987. There were paintings of her all over the place, and the she was moving in the paintings!!! It was really scary but I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to scare them too. (How considerate!!) Eventually the fear got better of me and I told mum (in my dream of course) and she said, "Don't worry. It happens all the time." Bloody hell! What a weird dream!
I also dreamed of aunt Mamie several years ago. It was some sort of family lunch, and she sat with us like she was alive. I was totally freaked out. And mum said, "Don't look at her! Pretend she is not here! Don't look!"
And this was not my first dream of a moving painting. more than 10 years ago I had a poster in my bedroom of a local band called Beyond whose lead singer had died from a fall. I was too scared to take the poster off my wall, fearing that his ghost might come after me because I was disrespectful to him. (Ha ha! So childish!) Later I dreamed that the deceased singer kept spinning inside (?) the poster! OMG! I was petrified! The next day I got my maid to take it off the wall so she was the one who was disrespectful to the dead singer, not me!
I am probably going crazy ha ha ha!!!
