My friend Mrs T had a baby boy on Monday! She is the first among our group of girls to get married, and the first to have a child. OMG! I can't wait to meet Mr T Jr! This is her 1 week before giving birth. Can't believe the crazy girl from school actually creative a life. Freaking amazing.

I got off class at 8:40pm last night so I decided to make an APPLE CUSTARD TARTE following this recipe. I followed it strictly and OMG it was too sweet! I would suggest 1/2 or 1/3 the sweetness for anyone out there who is interested in making one too! It was really easy to make though. I will definitely give it another shot with a modified recipe.

  • SWEET 18

    RANGRANG

I began re-watching SWEET 18 on Sunday night.

SWEET 18 is about a couple who got together by arranged marriage and eventually fall in love, as they always do in the fantasy world.

Back at UCL an Indian girl in my class announced that she was getting married by arranged marriage. Others were quite curious...

Others : Do you actually know that guy?
Girl : Yes! We have met several times.
Other : So you don't have a choice at all?
Girl : I do! It's not like I must marry him. But I do fancy this guy.

You see, arranged marriage is not a bad idea at all. It totally eliminates spinsterhood for those who participates. And for sure parents would give their seal of approval on potential spouses. Freedom is not always a good thing. It just makes everything 1000 times more complicated don't you think? And if you let your parents choose your other half, then when shit happens you can totally blame them!

I expanded my list of blogrings today!! Hee hee!

  • All my friends know that I rarely go across the Victoria Harbour. In fact, I hardly ever leave Central / Sheung Wan because I live and work here!

On Sunday I went ALL THE WAY to Tuen Mun! Gosh! We went from :
Home --> North Point (where jkpiggy parks his car... at his friend's carpark!) --> Clearwater Bay (to meet with jkpiggy's folks) --> Sai Kung (to meet with their boatboy) --> Goldcoast in Tuen Mun

OMG! I think I had done enough travelling last week to fill up 6 months' quota!

Some photos from the boat show. The weather was shit . What the hell is wrong with the weather these days? Is it fog or smog? Or both?

Buildings built close together, forming what is known as "screen effect". This is becoming more common in HK. We will all die as a result of air pollution sooner or later. Sigh. It didn't strike me until several months ago : I was having lunch at Intercontinental Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, ie. right by the harbour, and I looked across the harbour and could hardly see Wanchai!!!

    Image268 jkpiggy's new speedboat

I left work yesterday and had to deliver some stuff at my aunt's office nearby. I walked up Pottinger Street and I thought : Maybe I'll go look around H&M! When I reached Queen's Road Central... OMG... there were like 50 people queueing up to get in! I thought : f**k it! I'll go when the hype has died down! It's not like I have never shopped at H&M ha ha ha! (Yes, totally sulking!  )

    To HKers:

Did anyone see ¥ú¼v¬y±¡ on TVB Jade last night? It was soooooo good! If you didn't then you should definitely catch it at 11pm next Monday!!

I am old. You can totally tell from what I enjoy watching! *LOL*

  • BACK TO WORK

    WHY GOD WHY?????

Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! I want to go home already!

I just want to sit at home and do nothing ~ Brittny Gastineau

    *LOL*

I know it is way past the lai see distributing period, but my boss T, same as the past 2 years, is not giving me any. Luckily I got a few from other colleagues. T is very very cheap. It is not about the $20 or so I would have got from him had I returned earlier. It is about "lai lai see see", ie. luck! T is downright cheap and a horrible person!

I'd better pull myself together and start revising... all 5 subjects by June!! Wish me luck!

The best thing about my annual trip(s) to Vancouver is the vast number of TV stations that I am exposed to. And for the past week I have been glued to various entertainment news programmes. All of them have been devoting 75% of airtime to the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith, 20% on Britney and her lack of hair, and 5% on other lucky celebrities who have managed to fight their way through to be in TV!

I just feel sooooo sorry for Anna Nicole Smith. Everyone is totally exploiting her! She had a difficult life and now a difficult death! Someone new comes up on TV everyday to reveal their "secrets". Bloody hell! Will her poor soul ever RIP? And what's with the emotional judge? This world is so screwed up. It is just so so so hard to trust a person!

    AnnaNicoleSmith-daniel210-2

The wacko judge was right about one thing though, that Anna Nicole Smith should be buried next to her beloved son Daniel.

I hope something new will come up and the frenzy over Anna Nicole Smith's death will be over soon.

  • GREETINGS FROM MANILA

Just a short note to say hi! My flight to Manila was delayed by 2 hours yesterday and I got here at 10pm. Then I went to pig's uncle's house and had a 1.5hr massage. It was around HK$160 for the two of us, including tips. It was so cheap that I felt sorry for the masseuses who left the house at 1am!

This morning we got up and had a Philipino breakfast of corned beef and tiny potato cubes (mixed) with garlic rice. Then we walked around the main shopping area called Makati. We also went to ShoeMart - a place I visited the last time I came in 1989! Ha ha! We each bought a pair of flip-flops

I also had a lovely lunch : longanesa sausages with garlic rice! *slurp* It was soooooo good! Now we are waiting in the Mabuhay Lounge at the airport and waiting to leave again at 5pm. In around 15 hours time I will be seeing my mum and dad! Yay!

The funniest thing is : everyone here thinks we are locals! Ha ha ha!!

    Au revoir!
